Character-driven
design.

With over a dozen branches in their network, Jackson County Library Services needed a turnkey, easy-to-edit website design that wouldn’t sacrifice personality. We leveraged internal resources, custom iconography, and a cast of illustrated characters to bring their vision to life, welcoming visitors with a fun and inviting experience from the front page. On the back end, we built a suite of custom pages and prioritized simple editing for website admins across the county’s network.

What They Had to Say

The team was creative and communicative and worked hard to provide a website that reflected our branding and personality rather than an ‘out of the box’ product. Everyone’s enthusiasm made the project that much more satisfying and I truly enjoyed getting to work with the team at every step of the process.

What made it special.

A Creative Personality

To work in the fun and creative aspects of the library’s personality, we partnered with a passionate library team member to illustrate a cast of characters that we could incorporate into the site design along with custom iconography and dynamic site copy to welcome visitors with a unique, friendly front page.

Multi-Branch
Support

For Jackson County’s 16 different branches, our team designed an individual page for each location. A custom drop-down allows users to sort and view branch hours on the homepage, while in-depth branch pages highlight location-specific details like directions and events all in one place.

Intuitive
Navigation

We designed a straightforward mega-menu to intuitively organize everything the library had to offer without complicating the design, while featured sections for frequently-searched information and recommended resources made browsing easy.
